What is Acupuncture?
The ancient Chinese recognized a vital energy behind all life forms and processes. They called this energy Qi (pronounced chee) and discovered that it flows in particular pathways (meridians) in the body. Each meridian is associated with particular physiological systems and internal organs. Acupuncture points are specific locations along these meridians and each point has an effect upon the vital energy passing through it.

In scientific terms, acupuncture has been shown to produce a number of effects.

Acupuncture treatments :
- release endorphins
- boost the parasympathetic nervous system
- enhance the immune system
- normalize endocrine function
- release painful trigger points in muscles
- effect the nervous system regulation of pain and organ f
